Talented. Brilliant. Incredible. Amazing. Showstopping. Spectacular. Never the same. Totally Unique. Completely not ever been done before. This is all we can think when we watch Lady Gaga in the latest House of Gucci trailer.
As the Eurythmic's "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" plays, Gaga and co. dance across the screen with gorgous style and overwhelming Italian swagger.
Gaga is eating up every scene like a delicious plate of spaghetti alle vongole and we want to eat with her. This role is perfect for her.
Ever since the first photo of Gaga and her costar Adam Driver we've been absolutely obsessed. And when the first trailer dropped and we got to see Gaga's iconic delivery of the line "The Father, The Son, and The House of Gucci," we knew we were obsessed.
Not only does Gaga serve looks throughout the trailers, but she serves Italian Black Widow Realness as well. In the film, she plays Patrizia Reggiani, who married into the famous Gucci family and became half of Italy's number one power couple. After she found out her husband cheated on her, she hired a hitman to murder him, and was eventually charged with his assassination.
Gaga is set to be one of the major Oscar contenders this year for the film. After her Best Actress nomination for A Star is Born, fans are dying to see her take on another juicy role, and this is exactly what the doctor ordered. Her main opposition this year so far seems to be Kristen Stewart in the Princess Diana film Spencer. (Gaga won the Academy Award in 2019 for Best Original Song for "Shallow," but has yet to win an Oscar for her acting.)
House of Gucci was directed by legendary director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien, Gladiator) and features a script written by Robert Bentivegna. It also stars Adam Driver as Reggiani's husband Maurizio Gucci, Al Pacino, Jared Leto, and Jeremy Irons.
House of Gucci will debut in theaters November 24, 2021. Watch the new trailer below.
