Here's When You Can Watch KStew Serve As Princess Diana in 'Spencer'

KStew is bringing us another Christmas film this year, and now we know when we can see it!

After starring in Hulu's lesbian romantic comedy Happiest Season last year, Kristen Stewart is returning to the holiday movie genre again this year with Spencer, a film about Princess Diana. The movie is set to premiere in theaters on November 5, perfect for the beginning of the holiday season.

Spencer follows the Princess, whose maiden name was Spencer, as she spends the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. That holiday was when Diana made her decision to leave her marriage to Prince Charles.

The movie is directed by Pablo Larrain, and has a script from Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders. It also stars Jack Farthing, Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, and Sean Harris.

When she was cast in the role, Stewart said she was excited to take a deep dive into who Princess Diana was a person.

"Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life," she said in a statement. "It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name: Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her."

Spencer will make its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and will also play at the Toronto International Film Festival before it arrives in theaters this November.

A trailer for the film hasn't been released yet, but the buzz is that it's coming sooner than later!
