Over the weekend, a good Samaritan turned in Lady Gaga's two missing French Bulldogs after finding them tied to a pole.
Officials say that Friday night around 6 PM, a woman turned in the dogs, Gustav and Koji, to a Los Angeles Police Department station after finding them miles from the neighborhood where the shooting and dognapping took place. The woman found the pets in an alley tied to a pole and recognized them from media reports.
Gaga had been offering a $500,000 reward for the safe return of the dogs, "no questions asked," reportedly would gladly pay the woman who rescued them and is over the moon that they've been safely returned.
According to LAPD, a robbery occurred at 9:40 Wednesday night when her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot four times and two of her dogs were stolen. The shooter was described as male, used a semi-automatic handgun, and drove away in a white sedan. Authorities are still on the lookout for the suspect.
Fischer is now recovering in the hospital, where he posted updates on Instagram. "4 days ago, while a car sped away and blood poured from my gun shot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me," he said in the post, referring to Gaga's third dog, Asia, who was not taken and stayed by his side after he was shot.
"My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own," he continued, "I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we'd been on together, apologized that I couldn't defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them... and myself."
In a second post, which shows Fischer in a hospital bed recovering, he continued, writing "I am still in recovery from a very close call with death and have kept myself (for the most part, I mean I am human) from the growing media story. I will write and say more later, but the gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense. I felt your healing support!"
