Aubrey please don't play with our hearts!!!
Happiest Season star and bi icon Aubrey Plaza appears to be teasing a sequel to 2020's hit lesbian Christmas romantic comedy in a new TikTok, and we are begging for it to be the truth!
In the TikTok, Plaza was appearing at a book signing for her new children's book The Legend of the Christmas Witch, and was, of course, dressed as a witch herself. The caption for the video reads: "Aubrey talking about Happiest Season OMFGGG."
"There's gonna be another one," she says in the clip, drawing gasps from her fans. "Um, yeah! Because my character deserves love too."
Plaza has hinted before that she'd love to do a sequel, telling us she was "so proud of being a part of Happiest Season and almost getting the girl. Next time, she's mine," in her Out100 profile.
Plaza played Riley in the film, a sexy doctor and the former girlfriend of Mackenzie Davis' Harper who was outed and ostracized when people at school found out about their relationship. Many fans of the movie thought that Riley deserved better than to be left single at the end of the movie.
A lot of fans wanted Riley to end up with Kristen Stewart's character Abby, since not only are both kept in the closet by Harper, but they have amazing chemistry in every scene they're in together. However, in the end, Abby goes back to Harper, and Riley is left alone. Now fans want to see her story continued.

While we don't know how serious Plaza was being (she loves to joke around), she's got several other confirmed projects that we're looking forward to. Next up she's starring in Guy Ritchie's upcoming action thriller Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre alongside Jason Statham, Josh Hartnett, and Hugh Grant.
After that, she'll be playing the title character in the film Emily The Criminal, which she's also producing. The film follows a down on her luck woman named Emily "who gets involved in a credit card scam that pulls her into the criminal underworld of Los Angeles, ultimately leading to deadly consequences."
Guess we'll have to wait and see if Plaza was being serious, or if it was just wishful joking!
