Here Are All the 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 14 Guest Judges
Who's ready for an all-new season of 'RuPaul's Drag Race?!?'
The 14th (can you believe it?!?) season of RuPaul's Drag Race is right around the corner, and while the premiere is literally only a few weeks away, considering all of the herstory that is already being made when it comes to this season's competitors, as well as the "game-changing" candy-bar themed twist that is being promised in all of the teasers so far, we're shaking in our boots with excitement and can't wait to get our hands on any little bit of info. we can when it comes to the release!
So here's everything we know about Drag Race season 14 so far!
Who are the celebrity guest judges?
One of the best parts about Drag Race is getting to see some of our favorite LGBTQ+ celebrities and allies come on the show and give us their two cents about the queens and the competition!
This season's guest judges consist of music, television, comedy and film icons including Lizzo, Alicia Keys, Taraji P. Henson, Andra Day, Loni Love, Christine Chiu, Ava Max, Nicole Byer, Ts Madison, Alec Mapa, Dove Cameron and Dulce Sloan, with virtual appearances by Jennifer Lopez and Sarah McLachlan, and special guest appearances by Norvina and Leslie Jordan!
Series vets Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Ross Matthews will return as regular judges every week alongside Mama Ru.
Which queens are competing?
The full cast of competing queens was announced just recently, and if you couldn't tell from their cast photo, this season's queens are a FIERCE group! Competitors include Alyssa Hunter (Catano, PR), Angeria Paris VanMicheals (Atlanta, GA), Bosco (Seattle, WA), Daya Betty (Springfield, MO), DeJa Skye (Fresno, CA), Jasmine Kennedie (New York City, NY), Jorgeous (Nashville, TN), June Jambalaya (Los Angeles, CA), Kerri Colby (Los Angeles, CA), Kornbread "The Snack" Jete (Los Angeles, CA), Lady Camden (Sacramento, CA), Maddy Morphosis (Fayetteville, AR), Orion Story (Grand Rapids, MI), and Willow Pill (Denver, CO)!
Season 14 is going to include 'Drag Race's first-ever cishetero male contestant.
The Emmy-winning drag reality competition is also set to feature the franchise's first-ever cis, straight male contestant: Arkansas-based queen Maddy Morphosis.
"While I am straight, I don't consider myself a straight drag queen. I'm just a drag queen who happens to be straight," Maddy said during the official "Meet the Queens" live stream. "My sexuality doesn't define the drag that I do, it doesn't impact that. It's just a facet of who I am outside of drag."
"I think my being on the show can tap into a lot of the guys watching at home -- like, cisgender, straight guys -- and really just, like, projecting to them that, like, gender is completely arbitrary," she continued. "Just be yourself."
And two trans queens are also in the competition!
This season is also making Drag Race herstory for its trans inclusion, with two trans competitiors -- Kerry Colby and Kornbread "The Snack" Jete -- on the roster!
Are there any twists?
Would it even be a proper season of Drag Race if there wasn't some kind of unexpected twist!? We're not quite sure what it is yet, but so far, the teasers for season 14 have all mentioned that this season is going to be "game-changing," and while we're not really sure what the specifics (we DO know it has something to do with a candy bar), we can already tell it's going to be an interesting one that is going to make the competition for the crown (and a cash prize of $100,000) even more cutthroat than it already is!
When and where can we watch it?
Drag Race season 14 will air weekly starting on Friday, January 7th at 8pm ET/PT on VH1!
