Skittles Go Gray For Pride Again, Donate Money to GLAAD

It's Pride season again, and that means Skittles is once again deferring to the LGBTQ+ community when it comes to rainbows.

For a second year in a row, the popular candy brand is releasing limited-edition Skittles Pride Packs, which feature all gray packaging and all gray candies inside. One dollar per pack purchased will then be donated by Skittles to GLAAD.

The Skittles Pride Packs will start being available mid-May, and will come in 4oz Share Size Packs and 15.6 oz resealable Sharing Size Stand Up Pouches. While all the candies are gray, they feature the five original Skittles flavors: orange, grape, green apple, and lemon. You can purchase the special Pride Packs at Target and Walmart, as well as Target.com and Walmart.com, and at select Kroger's, Albertson's, and other retail locations across the country.

"Skittles is passionate about advocating for the LGBTQ+ community, which is why we have chosen to bring back Skittles Pride Packs as a symbol of our cemented efforts and support for the community," Sarah Long, Chief Marketing Officer for Mars Wrigley North America said in a statement. "Through the return of Skittles Pride packs, we emphasize our commitment to not only being a great place to work, where all Associates can feel seen and accepted, but also our commitment to people in our communities by continuing to shape a world that is connected, caring and celebratory."

Up to $100,000 will be donated to GLAAD, based on how many bags are purchased during the month of June. "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with GLAAD to support the important work they do year-round," Long said. "Skittles giving up their rainbow means so much more than just removing the colors from our Skittles packs, and we're excited to use our platform to do our part in driving visibility for the LGBTQ+ community, creating better moments and more smiles."

GLAAD is thankful for the support.
