And after nearly four years, Murphy is finally getting his passion project, an adaptation of The Normal Heart, on HBO this May and is already prepping a sequel to the award-winning Larry Kramer play. Having conquered TV and film, Murphy is now eyeing a stage revival of Funny Girl.
