Thank God and The Gays for ET, who revealed this morning that Nicole Scherzinger is currently reuniting with her legendary girl group Pussycat Dolls. That's right, the Pussycat Dolls will be back pushing all our buttons in no time.
A source told ET, "They've already been in the studio together recording. She's very excited."
Our favorite version of PCD included the six member group of Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Kimberly Wyatt. It's not confirmed which of them are returning for this new project.
Choreographer Robin Antin created the Pussycat Dolls in 1995 as a popular Los Angeles burlesque troupe. They signed with Interscope Geffen A&M Records in 2003 and released their debut album PCD in 2005.
For the next four years Nicole and co. released a string of bops including "Don't Cha," "Buttons," "Beep" and "When I Grow Up." They also earned a Grammy nomination for their single "Stickwitu" for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group. The group disbanded by 2009.
Since then, Scherzinger has been busy, making her own solo music, starring in the West End production of Cats, appearing in films like Ralph Breaks the Internet and Moana, winning season 10 of Dancing With the Stars, and being a judge on The X Factor -- she was also a panelist on The Masked Singer. It's wonderful to see her back in the studio, hopefully with a few of our other faves.
