Nina West has made her way to the big screen!

With the grand premiere of Weird: The Al Yankovic Story at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, viewers were pleasantly surprised to spot RuPaul's Drag Race season 11 fan-favorite Nina West portraying the iconic late drag performer Divine, the self-proclaimed "filthiest person alive."

Divine became a household name in the 1970s for appearing in various films by John Waters. Interestingly enough, this isn't West's first connection with Waters, as the season 11 alum also starred in a musical production of Hairspray as the character of Edna Turnblad.

West reacted to the news on social media, writing:

"Things are getting WEIRD! Happy #TIFF, y'all!"

The film is centered around Daniel Radcliffe playing the titular character and also features Evan Rachel Wood (Madonna), Julianne Nicholson (Mary Yankovic), James Preston Rogers (Hulk Hogan), Quinta Brunson (Oprah Winfrey), Rainn Wilson (Dr. Demento), and Steven Treat Clark (Steve Jay) in the cast.

Writer Eric Appel made his directorial debut on Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which was produced by the now-queer-owned Funny or Die studio.

We can't wait to watch West playing Divine once the movie is officially out!

Weird: The Al Yankovic Story premieres November 4 on The Roku Channel.
