As we approach the May 6 release date of the Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, rumors are flying like Pride flags in June. But which ones are true? Will we see the X-Men? Is Tom Cruise playing an alternate version of Tony Stark? And most importantly, which gay superheroes will be in the movie?
We already know that the film will be introducing America Chavez, a teen lesbian superhero with multiverse-travelling superpowers, but there are rumors that the movie could feature a lot more characters than just her. One rumor says that some of her queer Young Avengers friends, specifically, Billy (Wiccan) and Tommy (Speed), the two gay twin sons of Wanda and Vision, could also appear in the movie.
A writer over at Screen Rant noticed that one of the actors, Julian Hilliard, who played Billy in WandaVision, has tweeted on the issue. His tweet is a simple photoshopped image of an iconic Marvel comics panel where Scarlet Witch said the phrase "no more mutants," kicking off a mass extinction of mutants in the Marvel universe.
In Hilliard's version, though, Wanda is saying "no more rumors." Hilliard added his own commentary, "some of y'all" with a side-eye emoji. Does this mean his WandaVision character could be in Doctor Strange?

Marvel fans have long been waiting for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to introduce both LGBTQ+ superheroes and more specifically, the Young Avengers. Some fans think that's finally about to happen in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Based on the latest trailer, which aired during the Super Bowl, it looks like Wanda is one of the movie's main villains. After WandaVision, we saw her tapping into her new magical powers looking for her lost twins, and hearing their voices echoing in the distance. Perhaps she's searching the multiverse for them, leading to some of the chaos we've seen in the trailers.
Of course, Hilliard is likely just trolling, especially given the follow-up tweet to his first one. But the chance that Billy and Tommy could appear in Doctor Strange isn't that unlikely.

The MCU has been steadily introducing Young Avengers members, with Billy and Tommy appearing as children in WandaVision, Kate Bishop starring in the Hawkeye series, Elijah Bradley showing up in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Kid Loki appearing in Loki, and even Kathryn Newton being cast as Cassie Lang.
These characters have got to start interacting with each other soon, and the new Doctor Strange just might be the perfect place for that. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes to theaters on May 6.
