Shangela, Bob the Drag Queen, and Eureka O'Hara Bringing Drag to HBO

Three of the most fabulous queens in Drag Race herstory are bringing their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent to HBO next year with a brand new reality show titled We're Here. The show will follow Shangela, Bob the Drag Queen, and Eureka O'Hara as the queens travel to small towns putting on drag shows with locals.

Coming to HBO in spring of 2020, We're Here is a six-part unscripted series in which the trio recruit locals to be their new drag daughters and put on shows in their hometowns for one night only. The queens will be teaching their recruits all about confidence, loving yourself and looking fierce as hell, along with inspiring them to step outside their comfort zones by embracing their new drag personas. This is going to be sickening!

"Drag is about confidence and self expression," Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president of programming at HBO, said in a press release. "We are so thrilled to showcase the transformative power of the art form with our audience."

The girls announced the big news on social media, sharing their excitement with fans.

"WORK WORK WORK!!!" O'Hara said on her Instagram Tuesday. "I'm so excited to scream it from the Roof Tops [sic]!"

"It's Emotional. Theatrical. Oh, it's gonna be a SHOW!" added Shangela. "Never give up on your dreams y'all. And don't be afraid to WERQ HARD for what u want! HALLELOO!"

This is just the latest show starring Drag Race alums, after Trixie Mattel and Katya landed The Trixie and Katya Show on Viceland and Alyssa Edwards had Dancing Queen on Netflix. With this and the explosion of new Drag Race spinoffs -- like RuPaul's Drag Race U.K., Drag Race Australia, and the recently announced Celebrity Drag Race, which will feature "12 sickening celebrities" getting in drag with the Ru girls' help -- are we about to see a complete drag takeover of our TVs?
