Zendaya & Anne Hathaway's Bulgari Ad Is the Sapphic Film of Our Dreams

Sapphics, there's a new ad made just for us!!!

In a new short film by Oscar-winning Italian director Paolo Sorrentino for luxury brand Bulgari's latest ad campaign, Anne Hathaway and Zendaya star as what literally looks like two fierce, rich, sapphic murderesses who are about to have the wildest, most epic love affair since Carol.

"In the search for wonder, there are no endings, only new beginnings," Zendaya and Hathaways' voiceover states. "When the light comes in, everything seems possible. First, the cold. But, then comes the warmth, and the breath of freedom. To lose yourself, and to find yourself again."

Are they talking about what we think they're talking about? Both of them have just murdered their husbands and are about to start a lesbian romance together, right? "Then comes the warmth, and the breath of freedom?" She's describing lesbian sex, right?

We love a lesbian age gap romance!!! In fact, maybe the 39-year-old Hathaway had married 25-year-old Zendaya's rich father, murdered him, and seduced his daughter. I'd watch that movie any day!

The two exchange plenty of flirty and seductive glances, but then it gets really gay when the two of them are sitting on a large bed together sharing huge smiles. Zendaya then stands up, reaches out her hand, offering Ms. Hathaway the chance to dance. As music kicks in, the two women dance for each other, putting on a show that would turn any straight actress gay.

As the short ends, Zendaya and Hathaway go out on the balcony of the house they've stolen from their murdered husband and father. They look over the city of Rome as Hathaway puts an arm around Zendaya's waist.

"To discover unexpected wonders," Zendaya smiles as she leans her head on Hathaway's shoulder. (The "unexpected wonders" just happen to be each other.)

Now, it's just an ad for an expensive jewelry line, but still, it's one of the best sapphic movies we've seen in years. When we're so used to tragic period pieces full of homophobia and white people, we'll take what we can get.
