Every great story has its end, and the beautiful musical partnership between music legend Tony Bennett and pop icon Lady Gaga is coming to that point.
The pair of musicians have announced a pair of shows, "One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga," which are being billed as the pair's final appearances together, per a Variety report.
The concerts will take place August 3 and 5, the first of those nights being Bennett's 95th birthday. They'll be at the legendary Radio City Music Hall, where the duo performed two legendary shows in 2015.
The two singers also have recently recorded another album together. The follow-up to 2014's Grammy-winning Cheek to Cheek will be released later this year.
While the two obviously work wonderfully together, Bennett was diagnosed with dementia five years ago, and although it's been progressing slowly enough for him to keep touring and recording so far, the condition will make it harder and harder for him to continue doing that.
Tickets will be first released to Citi cardmembers on Live Nation's website at 10 a.m. local time this Wednesday, July 21. General ticket release will be the next day.
In order to attend the concert, fans must show proof of vaccination. Children under 16 can attend with proof of a negative test if they are accompanied by a vaccinated adult. Additionally, they'll have to give up their phones in the lobby, as attendants will collect smart devices and put them in Yondr pouches that will only be able to be opened in the lobby.
The artists will be joined by the Tony Bennett Quartet, the Brian Newman Quintet, and a big band and orchestra being conducted by Michael Bearden, so you can be sure the show will be one for the ages!
